TO ACT OR NOT TO ACT

The difference between hamlet and Steve is very plain to see, hamlet is seeking revenge but is to hesitant and weak, while Steve has his eyes set on the mindset that anything is possible. Hamlet is more of a follower while Steve is a leader. Sometimes you just have to grab the bull by the horns and hold on tight.

Dear Steve

You know, I would have loved to have a conversation with this man. After reading his speech and hearing about his road blocks, its lnd of inspiring. My family memebers want me to go to college, I want to go to college but with this economy and my family's circumstances, the chances are very slim but I'm putting all my effort into it. If there's one thing I learned from this speech is to simply take chances, not all the time but when you comfortable to do so, b7t then you just have to run into a darkroom and hope you find the light switch. Another thing learned is that you can't let things get into your way, you just have to endure the punishment and keep walking along, in the end the cuts and bruises heal and you're a tough son of a gun ready to keep moving on.

Freedom of choice

Every decision you make creates the future, you may like or you may not, only you can really decide what happens. I personally like making my own decisions. You want to know why? Well i'm going to tell you anyway, I choose what I want to do everyday without people having me do it. I like being responsible for myself and occasionally helping a lost soul find its way back onto the path. It makes me feel free, and that's a feeling everyone wants, freedom. The game of "freedom" only gives you a certain amount of chances until its over and you loose. My father always told me " I will let you make your own decisions, but remember you're only going to hang yourself" those were words I took advantage of and lets just say that the summer before freshman year... I didn't really get enjoy the sun that much due to poor choices and decision making. A quick little story explains how there is cons to "freedom", so my friends and I wanted to have fun at the local park and I asked my dad if I could go and he simply said "your choice" and I ran out the door and had a blast with my friends till about 3am. In that time from 8pm to 3am we had gone riding at all our favorites spots, told stories and did some unthinkable things. As it got to about 1am it was just Quinten, Joeseph, and I and we wanted to go to the skate which was about 4miles away. half way there Joe left cause he was tired so we let him walk home by himself and continued our adventure. Police officers followed us right after we left the skatepark and we got scared and started running. The biggest mistakes of ours life's. They chase us down and caught me in front a church and eventually Quinten came out of hiding. Lets just say the police officers were kind enough to take us home and tell our parents what happened. We both basically dug a hole and let all the crap pile on us and we were both grounded for 2 weeks during a heat spell in Washington, temperatures rose to about 110 and everyone was at the lake and river while we sat home and cooked from the outside in. If you're going to make your own choices stop and think about which one will benefit you most and won't come and bite you in the near future.

No child left untableted

Okay so after I had read this article (The title of post), my response to it is that more schools need to get with the program! Learning through open sources such as tablets or even the basic smartphone is going to he the next thing. For the teachers that don't agree with the program and what is has to offer, well you better find a new job cause they are going to leave you in the past. Open source learning is a much easier way to learn and its more fun. It gives us the opportunity to increase the rate we learn, increase the way we think and increase the way we think. Also its easier for the teachers because they can have the students do an assignment on their blog and when they post it, it shows what time and day they did it so the teacher knows if its pate or on time and instead of looking through hundreds of papers trying to find a single assignment all they have to do is look at the blog and look at the assignments. Its just that simple. Get on the train that has open source learning on it and let it blow you away.

Declaration of learning independence

Okay so I really don't know what I'm supposed to be writting about... but I'm going to take a shot at it. So today we were talking about our big questions and how we should incorporate it with or expository composition class. Which had me kind of stagnant in the mind. Then we also talked about collaborative groups and my friend Elias were blabbing on about how we would like to start a health and fitness group and maybe even create a new website/blog that we both give advice to people who want it.

Lit Analysis

Topic and Events
1.a) This book is emotionally depressing. It's about a boy who's mother physically, emotionally, and mentally destroyed this boy,David Pelzer. David is also the author of this book which basically makes it a autobiography. This is book number two, in this book Davids mother loses custody to David, he became a member of the foster care family system. After a month or so, David gets adopted by Mrs. C and starts his new life with this family with Lilian, Rudy(mom and father), Big Larry, Larry and Chris.
b) In one sentence this story is about about who starts a new life in presence of a foster care family.
2. My author decided to write about this because this was his life, this is what he had to endure as a he grew up. He wrote all of this and made it into books probably so that other people who had lived like that could relate to this and then don't feel alone. He wants people to be able to survive and he wants them to be able to push on and not lose hope.
3. I chose this book because this book was the sequel to " A child called it" and that book was pretty good. This book really appealed to me because I like these kinds of books.. Its sad but when you get a book that you can relate to, I wasn't raised like that but my parents weren't always there for me and I felt alone, I felt like it was my fault, so when I find books like these I have to read it.
4. I find this book really realistic, I myself can make connections to this book. I can make connections due to the fact that I didn't have the most wonderful childhood either and i don't want to get to deep into that.
People.
1) I believe Pelzers tone is mentally and emotionally destroying, yet its also hopeful and joyful. His mother abused him, then he gets put into the foster care system and actually starts a new life. It has its ups and then hits you with its downs. Okay, I want to justify my statement more clear, the authors tone through out the story is real, it can happen, its happened and abuse of children is real. There wasn't only David at the foster care house, there was many other kids who have struggled like he did. His choices are pretty straight forward, he saw his chance to escape his mothers deadly grasp and he snatched it right out of the air.
2) The two people I'm going to describe is Davids dad and Big larry. Davids dad is a Ex firefighter who has aged due to the fact of alcohol abuse to his body, the break through all of the stress his wife has put onto to him from abusing David, he is average height, dark hair, brown eyes and he is depressed because his wife controls his life. He is easily pushed over and controlled, he allows everything to go on because he is to scared to stick up for David. If this was a fiction book, i would characterize him with an in-direct approach. Big Larry is obviously big in height and weight, he has brown hair and brown eyes, he's goofy and likes to help people feel more comfortable in these kinds of situations and he's very mature but then again very stagnant minded sometimes.
3) I chose these two characters because both are trying to help David move on in life, they both want the best for him.
Style
1) Honestly I don't know what kind of style he used to write this story. I mean he kind of goes day by day and explains main events or main scenes from his childhood. I don't know if that would really be classified as a "Journalistic" style? There aren't a lot of dates that suggest that it would be similar to a journal log.
2) He doesn't really use long descriptions of people and places, he focuses more on actions and dialogue. His choice to this makes the story less of a drag and keeps the excitement up of what kind of problems or situations he will be facing in the near future of the story.
3)  Well this book is about his real life situations as a child, so he uses realistic words, actions, dialogue and more to make the reader under stand that this is real. The scenes in this story are similar to what other foster children could say they experienced, like being a outcast at school, not feeling like you're really normal, its all real.
4) I'm positive his attitude towards it all was determination. Determination to be free, to tell his story, to prove that child abuse does occur in places in the U.S., to provide security and help for those that need it.
5)No resources were provided except his vague memories of it all.
Enduring Memory
One thing I'm going to remember after reading this story is to be more compassionate towards others and to not judge others right off the first glance without actually breaking a conversation. You cant judge someone who has cuts on their wrist by saying oh  she's emo and does it for attention, but really she cuts herself because it eases all the pain the pain and stress she has in her personal life. People shouldn't outcast other people out like that, instead they should try to help, try to be someone in their life that cares and wants them to get better.

WILL STUDY FOR FOOD

Okay so I will not be attending college next year, I have already started my path to joining the marines and being in Combat support. I chose to go into the military because they basically pay for you to learn and give you the experience in the classroom and also the experience on the field when you have to serve your time. They also give you great benefits such as health, dental, and whatever else insurance. They help you get house, and its a for sure paycheck every week and you can retire pretty young. If you don't know what to do after high school.. join the military because they build a foundation for you to start the rest of your life.

P.S. If you're a person from a foreign country or another state and have questions for me. Please leave a comment and I will try to help you out. :D
